​​​​​​​In October 2014, a people’s uprising led to the overthrow of Burkina Faso’s dictator Blaise Compaoré. The rapper Serge Bambara, better known as Smockey, was among them and is nowadays considered as one of the agents that brought about political change. On a le temps pour nous is a portrayal of his daily life as leader and artist, inspired by Thomas Sankara. ​​​​​​​

Katy Léna Ndiaye is a documentarist. Her two major films: Traces, empreintes de femmes and En attendant les hommes won awards in numerous festivals. All the while, Léna Ndiaye also works for television. Originally trained as a journalist, she presented and directed Reflets Sud and Afrique Plurielle (from 2000 to 2018), films produced by CIRTEF, and broadcast on TV5 Monde and RTBF. Since 2013, she lives in Senegal and runs production company Indigo Mood films.

On the day of the event itself, we will check whether or not the current situation and measures allow the event to take place. In case of cancellation, everyone who registered will be notified immediately.
