Concert Croissant #3

A close affinity exists between the English Baroque repertoire and twentieth-century British art songs. Dowland continues to haunt Britten. Purcell permeates the work of Ireland and Warlock like an ancient light filtered through the frosted glass of time. This is the starting point for Songs in the Mirror: not a chronological journey, but a dialogue between two eras. Countertenor Logan Lopez Gonzalez joins I Solisti at Bozar in January for an immersive concert, but for this Concert Croissant, he shares the stage with lutenist and guitarist Léa Masson for a more intimate gathering.
