Portrait Mischa Maisky
No music genre is more intimate than chamber music, which establishes a close and intense relationship between the performers and the audience. But the relationship between the musicians is a thousand times more intense! Just ask the members of any quartet or trio. Enter the Maisky Trio. Father Mischa at the cello is in the spotlight this season with a portrait. He surrounds himself with his son Sascha at the violin and his daughter Lily at the piano for a concert that couldn’t be more right. The Maisky’s dedicate themselves to three piano trios by celebrated Romantic and Neo-Romantic composers: Chaikovsky, Rachmnaninov and Shostakovich.
