‘Marja Mortensson’

- 20:00

Time to set sail for the Great North! Paying homage to the culture of the native nordic people, the Sámi, Marja Mortensson plays typical songs from their magnificent ethereal repertoire, close to contemporary music, accompanied by the tuba and percussion instruments. Her songs are based on several aspects of her Sámi origins, such as the environment, farming, tradition and transmission. Despite her young age she is a recognised ambassador and has surrounded herself by renowned musicians such as Daniel Herskedal and Jakop Janssønn to create intimate soundscapes which combine tradition and modernity.
