Meet the writer
The celebrated French novelist Mathias Enard (1972) will be here in BOZAR, in the company of the Belgian author Grégoire Polet, to talk about his recently published book Boussole. In his usual energetic and anarchic style Enard describes a sleepless night permeated with memories, opium, classical music and the Middle-East. It promises to be an unmissable evening for anyone who wants to have a better understanding of the tumultuous history between the East and West. Mathias Enard studied Persian and Arabic and has travelled extensively in the Middle-East. His novel Rue des voleurs (2012) was nominated for the Prix Goncourt. In November Enard wins the Prix Goncourt 2015 for his novel Boussole.
