‘MEETING-DEBAT : “Créer en postcolonie. Voix et dissidences belgo-congolaises”’

This meeting-debate is being held to mark the publication of “Créer en postcolonie. Voix et dissidences belgo-congolaises 2010-2015” [Creating in the post-colonial world. Belgo-Congolese voices and dissidence] edited by Sarah Demart (ULg & KU-Leuven) and Gia Abrassart (Café Congo), in partnership with BOZAR, Africalia, Lezarts Urbains, La Maison du Livre of Saint-Gilles and the Federation Wallonia-Brussels. It will bring together the authors and artists (Baloji, Toma Muteba Luntumbue, Nganji Laeh, Nina Miskina, Joëlle Sambi, Sarah Arens, Heleen Debeuckelaere, Bénédicte Kumbi...) who contributed to the work to debate the Belgian post-colonial issue. There will be interludes of poetry and music throughout the evening
Following the debate there will be the opportunity to receive signed and dedicated copies of the book.

At the end of the evening, the book will be available to buy and the authors present will be pleased to sign and dedicate copies in the Fumoir. DJ Dread Litoko will be playing a selection of Congolese music while members of the public will be free to continue their discussions in the Victor bar.
