May'16

BOZAR is launching its Afropolitan Chronicles with pluridisciplinary meetings dedicated to the best in contemporary Afropolitan creation. On the programme for this first edition with several partners, are film screenings, debates, performances, sketches by Amou Tati, the Afro’pero and a vibrating DJ set. Two particular highlights deserve special mention: the launch of the publication “Créer en postcolonie. Voix et dissidences belgo-congolaise” [“Creating in the post-colonial world. Belgo-Congolese voices and dissidence”] followed by a signing session, and the Belgian premiere of the documentary film “The Revolution Won’t Be Televised” by Rama Thiaw. An award-winner at the 2016 Berlinale, the film looks at the popular Senegalese movement known as “Y’en A Marre” [Fed Up!].
