Vietnam War veteran Al Moon lives alone on his tribe’s land in Northern California. As violence and environmental destruction bear down on the reservation, old anxieties resurface, pushing Al to hit the road to confront what haunts him and reconnect with the men from his battalion. Each encounter along the way reveals a divided country grappling with its own wounds—a troubling reflection of his inner turmoil. « The past clings, especially when you try to run from it », Al reflects. He chooses to face it head-on, hoping to finally glimpse other possibilities.
