Nomad Patafrica (CD/BE)

At every BIG BANG festival NOMAD invites a brilliant foreign artist to give a performance with children. This year BIG BANG Brussels presents instrument makers Max Vandervorst and Zénon Kasanzi.  To their list of traditional instruments they add scoutophones, conservophones, bordeauxphones and Max's irons, to create an enchanting mix of high pitched squeals and African rhythms and party grooves. At BIG BANG, Zénon and Max are accompanied by a group of NOMAD children. The children's universe and African percussion go together to create a spontaneous mix of movement, collective improvisation, chaos and surprise. A veritable African dance festival for young and old!
