‘Quatuor Ebène & Belcea Quartet’

29 Jan.'22
- 20:00

Each string quartet is unique. Four musicians strive for the most perfect sonority, musical experience and bowing technique possible. Bringing two string quartets together can therefore be a risky undertaking. But when the Belcea Quartet and the Quatuor Ebène join forces, we know that the result can only be fireworks. Together they perform Mendelssohn's beloved Octet, which he wrote at the age of sixteen. Enescu was only three years older when he composed his Octet. Inspired by Romanian folklore, he delivers a highly energetic work that does not renounce tradition either.
