Quatuor Ebène, Mitsuko Uchida

Over three concerts in our 2015–16 season, the Quatuor Ébène shows the diversity of its musical tastes and the range of its palette. This time, its members take us to the core of the string quartet repertoire in one of Joseph Haydn's "Sun" quartets. We will also hear work by the great 20th-century French composer Henri Dutilleux, before they conclude with Robert Schumann's Piano Quintet, one of the great masterpieces of the genre and of Romantic music more generally, for which they are joined by the outstanding Japanese pianist Mitsuko Uchida.
