Rising Star Concertgebouw Amsterdam & Bozar Brussels

In the frame of the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Warning Concert at 7pm

The word "harpist" tenders to conjure up a picture of a long-haired nymph delicately plucking some strings. Both in his looks and in his playing, Remy van Kesteren is out to undermine that image. "I want to let the world hear what the harp is capable of. It is an instrument with which you can tell the most beautiful stories." To that end, Van Kesteren tackles works not usually played on the harp and brings together unusual combinations of instruments, as in the Musica calada project with the trumpeter Eric Vloeimans.

CONTEXT : Throughout the season, discover the Rising Stars in the most intimate of settings through video portraits which they themselves have put together from their rehearsal studios. These talented musicians introduce themselves to you in them and provide valuable tips on how to best appreciate.
