‘FOCUS ON THE NETHERLANDS’

The Netherlands and Belgium are more than neighbours. Two hundred years ago we were even united within a single kingdom. Dutch culture remains very much present in Belgium today. The Dutch Presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2016 is an excellent opportunity to renew your acquaintance with Rembrandt, the Dutch Royal  Concertgebouw Orchestra and Ivo van Hove of Toneelgroep Amsterdam. Names that you may not know so well are also worth discovering. Theo van Doesburg was one of the founders of De Stijl and a major figure in European avant-garde. Remy van Kesteren is a young harpist with a promising future. 2016 certainly looks like being an exciting year!
