In the frame of the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the European Union
Valery Gergiev's successor as Music Director of this fine Dutch orchestra, Yannick Nézet-Seguin, is one of the most gifted and charismatic conductors of his generation. With Sol Gabetta as soloist, we can expect an evening rich in colour and contrast. The programme is entirely Russian, featuring three of that country's most eminent composers.
