Conversation with Mohamad Abdulaziz & Samer Omran live from Syria
Jury Prize Best Feature Film, Arab Camera Festival, Rotterdam. Belgian Premiere.
It’s New Year’s Eve in a European country and two Syrian immigrants are having a philosophical conversation in a cellar. One is an intellectual and a politician, fleeing his country in search of freedom. The other is an ordinary worker, seeking a better life. United by their alienation, they tell each other the details of their life, their sufferings and moments of happiness. Followed by a conversation between Mohammed Abdulaziz, Samer Omran and Gawan Fagard (Cinemaximiliaan).
