Renowned documentary film director, Kim Longinotto has directed over 20 films and has received numerous awards from the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, BAFTA, and many others. Her 2015 film Dreamcatcher had its global television premiere on Sundance Channel. Some of her other widely acclaimed films include Salma, Sisters in Law, Gaea Girls, and Pink Saris.

She studied camera and directing at England's National Film School, where she made PRIDE OF PLACE, a critical look at her boarding school, and THEATRE GIRLS, documenting a hostel for homeless women.

Sundance Channel hosts Master Classes around the world with renowned filmmakers for local audiences. The program is designed to give aspiring filmmakers and Sundance Channel viewers exclusive access to the best independent filmmakers in the world.

The director will be interviewed by a local host about her career, the craft of filmmaking, and advice they have for aspiring filmmakers. The Master Class is followed by an Audience Q&A Session. The event raises awareness for the Sundance Channel brand and generates extensive press.
