Ton Koopman is famed as the founder and conductor of the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir, a group of internationally renowned Baroque specialists. He is also an excellent organist and harpsichordist. What you probably didn’t know is that his wife, Tini Mathot, is also a harpsichord player. She works in close collaboration with Ton as the producer of his orchestra; indeed they travel the world together giving harpsichord recitals. They have finally made it to BOZAR, where they start with the most famous works of the Couperins – uncle and nephew –, move on to Bach and sons and finish up with Mozart during the last days of the harpsichord.
