Nordic Folk Songs
The three Norwegian vocalists of the Trio Mediæval are primarily known as pioneers of medieval music. For this concert, as part of the Nordic Festival, they journey to the cold North of Europe – the place of their own roots – and perform Norwegian and Swedish folk songs. Especially for this occasion, they have arranged love songs, wedding songs, lullabies and hymns that were not originally intended for public performance. However, the beautiful wordless melodies of this repertoire inspire through a quirky and fascinating world of sound.
