‘Vocal technique and postures with Katarina Van Droogenbroeck’

4 June'21
- 18:30

Led by Katarina Van Droogebroeck, this workshop will encourage you to gain more vocal freedom through exercises concentrating on some basic elements of vocal technique. The main themes will be the proper use of the body and posture, different exercises on breathing and support, as well as exercises to promote a free jaw and tongue. At the end of the workshop, you will be invited to sing a short musical piece all together with the group, in order to apply the things you just learned and to see how this affects the quality of the sound. This workshop will take place at See U in the framework of Singing Brussels and is aimed at singers with experience.
Katarina Van Droogebroeck is a classical singer, former soloist of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel with José Van Dam, and was trained in Berlin and New York by Trish McCaffrey, a renowned teacher of the Swedish-Italian technique.
