VR Film Screening : Total Immersion

In the frame of the Total Immersion festival at Bozar, this edition of VR Film Screening explores the transformative power of immersive art, where sound and visual storytelling open new ways of experiencing the world. Bringing together two poetic VR works, the programme invites audiences to slow down, reconnect with their senses, and explore new forms of perception. 

Creation of the Worlds by Kristina Buožytė and Vitalijus Žukas is a meditative VR experience inspired by the visual and musical universe of Lithuanian artist and composer M.K. Čiurlionis. Drawing on more than 60 of his paintings, the work transforms his symbolic landscapes into a dreamlike journey through light, sound, and movement, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find their own meaning. 

Earths to Come by Rose Bond is a poetic VR work that combines painterly moving images with vocal composition to evoke the intimate vastness of an 8-line poem by Emily Dickinson. Created in collaboration with sound designer Massimiliano Borghesi and vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth, the piece weaves image and voice into a contemplative space that exists across VR, dome, and theatrical formats.
