Alongside the concert by the orchestra Les Musiciens du Louvre, two percussionists from Marc Minkowski’s famous orchestra will be giving your class a taste of the programme devoted to Tchaikovsky’s magical ballet, The Nutcracker, which they performed at BOZAR. From the Battle scene to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, the numerous instruments which make up the percussion section - celesta, drums, toy trumpet and glockenspiel - provide an original insight into the Russian composer’s work.
