‘Xenia Pestova Bennett’

The Russian pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett is one of the great revelations of contemporary classical music. The Taranki Daily News rightly identified her as ‘a new star in the sky’. Her interpretation of Stockhausen’s Mantra with Pascal Meyer is now considered one of the benchmark recordings of this masterpiece from the latter half of the 20th century. For her recital for BOZAR, she explores the versatility of the keyboard. She performs John Cage’s Valentine Out of Season for prepared piano as well as his meditative Dream. The exciting programme also features Ferrari’s exciting Enfilades and Annea Lochwood’s idiosyncratic compositions.
