A combined ticket allows you to attend all the events around Frank Zappa for just 46 euros, saving you 10 euros!

For an entire afternoon, we will focus on the artistic body of work of Frank Zappa, which extends beyond just his music. Through concerts, films, and talks, we will shed light on the fascinating legacy that this genius has left us.

We start with a vinyl listening session of the GTO's with the “super-groupie” Pamela Des Barres and with a screening of Frank Zappa: The Present-Day Composer Refuses To Die by Frank Scheffer.

Next, we present a concert by Ensemble STYX, here in quintet formation, which has succeeded in obtaining arrangements of some immortal classics by Zappa. Inspired by this, guitarist Pierre Vervloesem, saxophonist Bruno Vansina, and jazz drummer Samuel Ber each composed a new piece for a classical quintet and jazz musicians. As the highlight of the event, American jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas specially composed a brand-new work for this production and will be on stage as the leader of the band.

We also focus on the struggle that Zappa waged for freedom of expression in the 1980s and question whether a figure like Zappa is still possible today.

We close the afternoon with the band Sinister Sister, who have reinterpreted Zappa's music several times in the past, with the fantastic Robert Martin as special guest. This singer and multi-instrumentalist was in Zappa's band from 1981 till 1988.
