Thirty-five years have now passed since thirteen brave and enterprising women founded the Peña Flamenca Femenina de Huelva. The original members - the wives of the popular Peña Flamenca de Huelva - set up their own vocal group because they were prevented from singing together with their husbands. The Peña Flamenca Femenina de Huelva, with their eagerness and iron resolve, quickly succeeded in being taken seriously. The company is now considered as one of the most important flamenco groups both at home and abroad.
