Rebirth Day – Third Paradise

Michelangelo Pistoletto

Artist Michelangelo Pistoletto has been advocating the rebirth of society since 2012, and every year on 21 December, the day of the winter solstice, Bozar invites an artist to design a performative celebration of the call for this renewal that is Rebirth Day. Performances and events inspired by the symbol of the Third Paradise, originally designed by Pistoletto, take place around the world on this same occasion. This symbol, adapted from the mathematical sign for infinity, is made up of three circles, with the central circle symbolising reconciliation between the intelligence of humanity and that of nature. This reconciliation also involves the renewal of relationships and society, inviting us to take a look at what connects us and take care of all living things.
