The Henry Le Boeuf Hall comes back to life!

Barely a hundred days after the fire that broke out on the roof of the Centre for Fine Arts on 18 January, the Henry Le Boeuf Hall is once again operational. Its first artistic activity (without an audience) took place on 28 April – a rehearsal of the Belgian National Orchestra.

It was a historic moment! On 28 April, music resounded in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall for the first time since the fire, as the Belgian National Orchestra held a rehearsal for its 19 May concert, conducted by Hugh Wolff with violin soloist Baiba Skride.

Of course, not everything has been repaired. Some of the scars from the fire are still visible (mainly at the level of the second balcony), but the Henry Le Boeuf Hall is fully safe and operational again. And it is ready to host the Queen Elisabeth Competition between 24 May and the closing concert on 9 June.
