Podcast When We See Us

Bozar invites you to discover the original podcast "Dialogues and Subjectivities"—an immersive audio experience that resonates throughout the exhibition "When We See Us. A Century of Black Figuration in Painting", on view until 10 August 2025.

The exhibition When We See Us was curated by Koyo Kouoh, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Zeitz MOCAA in Cape Town, who tragically passed away in May 2025. On this exhibition, she worked closely with co-curator Tandazani Dhlakama.

Koyo Kouoh and Tandazani Dhlakama welcomed our podcast team to the exhibition during the installation.

Listen to the podcast and join the curators as they guide you through the vibrant halls of the Centre for Fine Arts in a truly unique way. Gain insight into their deep pan-African vision, their collaboration in selecting over 150 paintings, and their perspective on how "Black geographies" engage in dialogue through artworks that radiate joy, sensuality, and serenity.

A thoughtful approach that weaves subtle rebellion into an inspiring musical atmosphere. Immerse yourself in this dynamic and hopeful exhibition by listening to two leading voices in the art world.
