‘Chineke! Orchestra & Leslie Suganandarajah’

19 Nov.'22
- 20:00

With its Chineke! Orchestra, Nigerian for "spirit of creation," Chi-chi Nwanoku founded a professional orchestra with only black musicians or musicians belonging to an ethnic minority. In their concerts, Chineke! combines genres. Always repertoire works, but also compositions by black composers. For example, this colourful concert will feature compositions by Afro-composers, such as Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, George Walker and Florence Price alongside Antonín Dvořák's Ninth Symphony.
