‘Halaqat Impro session feat. Khaled Yassine’

25 May'22
- 20:30

What happens when you put together an international band with musicians from seven different European and Arab countries? The second Halaqat Impro Session is the final chord of an intense exchange between musicians who met only five days before. They were selected from more than 100 aplications through a call to bring together musicians from Europe and the Arab world. In the days leading up to the concert, they will experiment, co-create and exchange ideas in Werkplaats Walter, the pre-eminent place for experimental and avant-garde music.

We put the task of guiding this top talent into the hands of Khaled Yassine. As a self taught musician, mostly known for his work with Anouar Brahem Quartet,  ALif,lekhfa and tarek yamani trio, Khaled Yassine’s unique approach to drums and percussion made him one of most sought-after musicians in the region.
He is also known for his collaborations with different art forms like contemporary dance/theatre productions, installation and documentary films.
