‘Human explorer’

Norway has a long-standing tradition of pushing human mobility to its limits through its historic polar explorers, using state-of-the-art technology. In the framework of the European Mobility Week, BOZAR and Buskerud County (Norway) join forces to take a closer look at the notion of mobility.
This collaboration has been named “Human Explorer” and will result in a series of keynotes, panel discussions and project presentations on September 17th, 18th and 19th.
As a ‘house of change’ in the heart of the European Capital, BOZAR is the ideal platform for these discussions.

We kick off by looking at mobility from a historical vantage point; the influence of human mobility on the flux of knowledge, its challenges and consequences.
Then we cross over into the future by shedding more light on the latest developments in the world of autonomous vehicles (cars, ships and vessels). They will, in their turn, have huge effects on our transport systems, and in turn urban development and the quality of life for citizens.
We aim to bring together stakeholders from the fields of technology, industry, research, design and the public sector, from the Buskerud and Greater Oslo region in Norway, from Belgium and Europe.
