Grisey. Le Noir de l’Etoile
The French spectralist Gérard Grisey drew inspiration for Le Noir de l'Étoile from an unexpected angle: the pulsing rhythms of dying stars, better known as pulsars. Be whisked away on an hour-long, rhythmic adventure, alternating between powerful explosions of sound and ethereal vibrations that give you a sense of timelessness. Six exceptional percussionists from Ictus are arranged around the audience, bringing this cosmic sound experience to life with their characteristic precision and energy. Do you feel and hear the echoes of the stars?
The concert is preceded by a conversation with Klaas Coulembier that takes place at 19:15 pm in the Horta Hall. This encounter will be in French and in Dutch. Free admission.
