‘Ictus’

The French spectralist Gérard Grisey drew inspiration for Le Noir de l'Étoile from an unexpected angle: the pulsing rhythms of dying stars, better known as pulsars. Be whisked away on an hour-long, rhythmic adventure, alternating between powerful explosions of sound and ethereal vibrations that give you a sense of timelessness. Six exceptional percussionists from Ictus are arranged around the audience, bringing this cosmic sound experience to life with their characteristic precision and energy.
