Percussion Festival
Everything starts with a beat. A pulse that sets the first edition of Beats & Pieces in motion. This big bang opens a festival where percussion connects diverse genres and cultures. During Poetry Meets Percussion, sharp verses are set to rhythms. Colin Currie and the Belgian National Orchestra play a percussion concerto, while Ictus presents a cosmic sound experience. And with one ticket you can hop from one concert to another during our Percussion Happening: with Mark Guiliana, Groove&, Bl!ndman Drums and an ensemble around Ryoji Ikeda' s Music. On 18 January, Spëcht and Arsenal Mikebe will close the festival with a grand percussion arsenal.
