Fanny Ardant, a legend at the Centre for Fine Arts

On 29 June, Bozar organizes a special evening with Fanny Ardant in honour of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union. Known for her work with renowned French and international directors for over 40 years, Fanny Ardant is a key figure in the film world. RTBF's film critic Hugues Dayez will interview the actrice on her career accomplishments. A screening of Nadir Moknèche's Lola Pater, starring Fanny Ardant, will follow the interview.

Lola Pater by Nadir Moknèche
The story starts when Zino, who’s 27 years old and the son of Algerian immigrants, buries his mother in Paris. An only child, he grew up with her after the sudden departure of his father Farid, who left over 20 years ago. Based on what his mother told him, Zino believes that his father abandoned him. He learns from the notary that Farid didn’t return to Algeria, but is instead living in Camargue, and that his parents never got divorced. Why did his mother lie to him?

Don't miss the chance to meet this two-time César Award-winning actress and director. She will also be the guest of honour at CINEMATEK on 28 June and at the Brussels International Film Festival, which is taking place this year from 23 June to 2 July.
