‘Winter Concert - Mozart Viva la Libertà!’

21 + 23
Dec.'22

Belgian National Orchestra & Hendrickson

Every year, just before Christmas, Bozar and the Belgian National Orchestra organise a heart-warming family performance. This year, French artists' collective Les Clés d'Ecoute will present a brand new production based on Mozart's music. So, what’s the common theme that binds this performance together? A bird that gradually regains its freedom! A mime artist will guide spectators through the concert, while video images provide a visual treat. Young singers will perform arias by characters from The Magic Flute, Mozart's most famous opera; the birdcatcher Papageno, his sweetheart Papagena and the terrifying Queen of the Night. Other famous Mozart melodies are also interwoven though this brand new story.
