
10th Research Symposium on Social Impact of Making Music
Organized by SIMM (Social Impact of Music Making) every year since 2015, this international research platform is bringing together experts from the fields of musical practice and research once again. The 10th SIMM-posium will take place at Bozar, this time in a close collaboration with Chair Jonet/CESAMM of the University of Ghent. It will feature presentations, thematic panels and a keynote, exploring the social impact of participatory music-making across a wide range of cultural contexts and countries. The keynote speaker will be Professor Lee Higgins, director of the International Centre for Community Music, York St John University. Delegates are warmly encouraged to join in person in Brussels, even though online presentations will also be accommodated where necessary, and the event will be live-streamed.
