Bozar closes fundraising campaign with over 110.000 euros pledged

On the 18th of January, a fire broke out on the roof of the Centre for Fine Arts. The fire caused damage to the exhibition circuit Rue Royale and the concert hall Henry Le Boeuf Hall with its iconic organ.

In the immediate aftermath of the fire, spontaneous aid campaigns and donations quickly rolled in. When the fundraising campaign was announced, Bozar patrons and supporters donated. A number of donors also acted as informal ‘ambassadors’ for the campaign; they motivated their networks to contribute. With the start of ticket sales for the new musical season, ticketholders with an outstanding balance were able to take some of the credit they had built up due to COVID cancellations, and converted this into a donation.

The total amount raised is 113.939 euros coming from 967 generous donors. Bozar will use the money to develop and relaunch its artistic programme.
