Car Free Sunday 2025 invites us to rethink our relationship with food and the city. In collaboration with the European Beautifood project and the non-profit organisation Cultureghem, Bozar is organising an afternoon of workshops, shows and entertainment that take a simple, poetic look at what we eat and share.
Flavours and colours in Rue Baron Horta
From 1:00 pm, Rue Baron Horta will come alive with mobile kitchens serving up fresh smoothies and crêpes that foodies will love. Nearby, a workshop will invite visitors to create bunting for the MOBIL modular street furniture designed by Cultureghem. It’s a simple gesture to inhabit the city in a different way.
Music and good food
At 4:00 pm, a singing workshop will bring participants together around a melody that will come to life in the show Aubergine at 5:00 pm, in Salle Henry Le Bœuf. Claron McFadden will explore the cultural and culinary resonance of this vegetable, combining memory and flavours.
Visual arts and dance
At the same time, the exhibition John Baldessari. Parables, Fables, and Other Tall Tales will welcome visitors under 18 free of charge. For dance lovers, choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker will present Violin Phase. More than 40 years after its creation, the choreographer herself performs this iconic solo, alternating with one of the dancers from her company, Yuika Hashimoto.
Open-air cinema on Bozar’s rooftop
For this Car Free Sunday, Bozar is transforming its rooftop into an open-air cinema, free to access from 2pm to 9pm. A selection of cult films awaits you.
On the programme: The Gang's All Here by Busby Berkeley, Le Mépris by Jean-Luc Godard (screened twice), El Topoby Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Johnny Guitar by Nicholas Ray.
A broad offering
