Most concerts in our Echoes of the 20th Century series are preceded by a concert introduction. What makes a composition so special? How hard did the composer have to toil? When listening, what will catch your ears? Gustav Holst, Béla Bartók, Shostakovich and many others await you.

When?

The introductions, given by Klaas Coulembier in Dutch and French, begin 45 minutes before the concert starts and last around 20 minutes.

Horta Hall
