Bartók Festival - Masterworks
In this final concert of the Bartók Festival, his most monumental works take center stage. His Second Violin Concerto, a cornerstone of the repertoire, is a bold and virtuosic piece that continues to captivate with its modernity. In The Miraculous Mandarin, a suite from his 1916 ballet, Bartók’s style reveals the influence of Impressionists and Schoenberg, showcasing the Hungarian composer’s remarkable versatility.
The concert is preceded by a conversation with Klaas Coulembier that takes place at 14:15 pm in the Horta Hall. This encounter will be in French and in Dutch. Free admission.
