Bartók Festival - Masterworks

In this final concert of the Bartók Festival, his most monumental works take center stage. His Second Violin Concerto, a cornerstone of the repertoire, is a bold and virtuosic piece that continues to captivate with its modernity. In The Miraculous Mandarin, a suite from his 1916 ballet, Bartók’s style reveals the influence of Impressionists and Schoenberg, showcasing the Hungarian composer’s remarkable versatility.

The concert is preceded by a conversation with Klaas Coulembier that takes place at 14:15 pm in the Horta Hall. This encounter will be in French and in Dutch. Free admission.

Thanks to the players of the National Lottery. With the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgium and the Tax Shelter of the Federal Government of Belgium through Casa Kafka Pictures.
