William Kentridge began his artistic career at the height of the political struggle against the apartheid regime in South Africa. His work bears witness to a profound commitment – social, political and poetic – that continues to shape his practice today.

From the early 20th century onwards, Brusselmans developed a distinctive body of work, independent of artistic trends yet firmly rooted in painterly tradition. Some 120 works highlight the remarkable oeuvre of an underappreciated Belgian artist.
