Thanks to the Recovery and Resilience Facility financed by the NextGenerationEU, Bozar could benefit from a specific support under the Belgian National Plan NextGen Belgium.
Between 2021 and 2026, Bozar could invest into its digitalisation a total amount of 7,5 million euro with the objective to:
→ reinforce, digitalise and futureproof its infrastructure
→ develop new ticketing software and ERP system
→ gain new capacity for big data analysis
→ train its staff for the digital way or working
→ strengthen its cybersecurity
→ propose to the audience digital artistic content.
Infrastructure
✓ The 23 cinema hall was levelled up to be able to propose VR and digital experience.
✓ Bozar’s iconic Henry LeBoeuf Hall was equipped with hyperreal sound and light installations.
✓ Bozar could install an optical fibre connection with its cultural partners La Monnaie, St. Michael & St. Gudula Cathedral and the Royal Conservatory. This connection will enable innovative artistic projects, such as upcoming concert of Belgian National Orchestra, Niemeyer & Escaich. This exceptional concert places innovation at the heart of its programme by broadcasting live at Bozar the great organ of the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula, which will accompany several breathtaking orchestral works presented on Bozar's stage.
Digital Stage
✓ Under the project, Bozar was able to develop its Digital stage and present innovative works from artists worldwide.
✓ Additionally, Bozar founded Bozar Arcade, a venue dedicated to artistic video games.
✓ The digital content project enriched Bozar’s offer online — interviews, talks, virtual tours, music, podcasts and more via Bozar’s YouTube channel.
