Films you won’t see anywhere else

What if cinema were a subtle tapestry, weaving voices, forms, ideas, and sensations together? The 2025–26 season celebrates this complexity as a creative force, championed by filmmakers who challenge our ways of seeing.

Bozar continues its 2026 season with a bold and cross-disciplinary film programme, echoing the major themes of the year. A Close-up is dedicated to Roberto Minervini, whose work captures a form of human beauty at the margins of society, portraying former prisoners, people struggling with addiction, and sex workers. The season continues with the presence of Juliette Binoche, who revisits the In-I project with British dancer and choreographer Akram Khan through previously unseen archival material, followed by a public Q&A session. The June VR Film Screenings offer an immersive journey between ecological futures and the memory of disasters, featuring Planet City by Liam Young and Address Unknown: Fukushima Now by Arif Khan. Also, as part of the Picture Perfect exhibition, the film How Pamela Anderson and my camera made me look at women who have plastic surgery by Nina Gazaniol Vérité explores representations of the female body and cosmetic surgery.

Between rare films, artistic discoveries, immersive experiences and unexpected encounters, the end of the season still holds plenty of surprises. The full programme can be discovered in The 23.
